Texting: A Good Source Of Friends

Well, one of my hobbies especially when it is weekend is texting. It is the way of communicating through cellular phones, beyond doubt, numerous or should I say almost all people, sophisticated or not, know that, excluding those ancient natives of course. To tell you candidly, I always budget my stipend so I can have some of my money for load. In fact, every afternoon I do not ride jeepney from our school to Ayala so that the fare should be saved. Another is… okay, okay, I will not deny it anymore, and well I think it is already too palpable. The reason why I do not spend my allowance for snack is that I have to set aside it again for the sake of my dear load. Imagine! I just let my own stomach suffer just because of load. Nevertheless, you must not save it all. In this entry, I will tell you about one of my stuff which is texting.

No need the hide the naked truth anymore, to tell you truthfully, I am really a “text addict”. Maybe I could barely carry on or should I say that really cannot survive in this dreary atmosphere surrounding me if I do not have my cellular phone, of course there should be some load. Well, in texting, you can find new associates. However, it is not good if you do have a textmate, which you still do not meet face to face, although it somewhat an exhilarating hobby, right? It is better to follow me; all of my textmates are just my classmates and schoolmates. Aside from those classmates and schoolmates whom I already mentioned, I do have textmates from my previous classmates back when I am still graders.

In texting, you will be able to be in touch with the person or schoolmate whom you so not want to talk to personally due to your bashfulness towards that certain person. You are free to communicate with that specific person already because you are not facing each other. Texting, as what I have mentioned earlier, is one of the reasons why I do have many friends. Another thing that makes this kind of hobby fascinating is that it became a good source of different updates and rumor or should I say the newest “chika”. Actually, you can already dub yourself as a “well informed” one.

In my own situation, my friends really grow in number when I get involved in texting. At first, my textmates are just my classmates and some of the 2^nd year students of UP High. When I get into a clan of Globe users, 3^rd year students were added into my list of friends within the university grounds. We call that clan as “g.freakz”. This clan is enjoyable. There are different activities and games like Deal or No Deal and more but different in mechanics to the genuine ones. Unlike the original game, the participants are already three instead of one. In fact, I already joined once. It was fun as if you were playing the real one. In terms of members, most of them are 3^rd and 4^th year students; there are no 2^nd year students and two in the 1^st years: Jayza and I. that is why at first I am still introverted to mingle with the higher years, but later on, that shyness just vanished.
